Volunteers can support supervised activities that encourage learning, play, creativity and confidence. At Kalule Bwaise Children Shelter, Front Aid works to create practical care and positive everyday opportunities for children.
Child safeguarding comes first
All volunteering with children is guided by Front Aid’s code of conduct and local team direction. Volunteers are expected to respect boundaries, protect children’s privacy, listen carefully and contribute in ways that are appropriate to the programme.
Make space for connection and learning
You do not need to arrive with all the answers. A respectful presence, consistency and willingness to learn can help create meaningful moments alongside trained local staff and community members.
