A home built through care
How the shelter began
In 2022, Jonas and Tristan visited Uganda and spent time in the Bwaise slums, where they met orphaned children and learned more about the challenges they face. Their visit became the beginning of a meaningful, long-term connection with the community.
After returning to Germany, they raised funds that helped construct the Kalule Bwaise Children’s Shelter in Buwambo — a safe, dignified place where children can grow, learn, and thrive. Their support turned concern into a place of belonging and opportunity.
Jonas and Tristan have continued fundraising to support school fees and other essential needs for the children. Their generosity reflects what is possible when people stay connected to a community and its hopes for the future.
